i am but a young grasshopper

let me begin by saying wow! I went to tae kwon do today and quite a surprise was waiting for me. Grand Master Park was there (all the way from south Korea). There are only two Grand Masters in the world! my teacher (master kim), and master park. They are both like two characters right out of a movie. they stand with a confident posture, but only about 5'4. Little do most people know, these guys have mad hand eye coordination and reflexes. I'm about to be a brown belt and i've been doing martial arts for a few years... and these guys (like between 60 and 70 years old) would still kick my ass. Anyways, Grand Master Park gave us the privilege to practice with him. He corrected every last detail and pointed out everything we were doing wrong. (don't get me wrong, my teacher-master kim- has taught us really well) To my surprise, every single move in 'tae kwon do chung do kwan' has a specific purpose. the only reason i thought some moves were simply for show, is because i was doing them wrong. I'm not too sure what the significance of this blog was, but it does highlight two guys who have truly mastered an art form. Ok a funny story happened--- Master Park doesn't really speak English to well, but he does know how to say NO! If you make the same mistake twice you will be reprimanded with the sharp and piercing NO!~ that will mostly be followed with a slap across the back of the head. oh man, these guys are great! It's crazy to think that these guys, in the prime of their life, would actually be a match for Bruce Lee. I really don't think they would win, but they'd sure give him a run for his money. So there actually may be a moral to this blog!!!!
